The AVO Limited Edition Trompeta’s arrived recently! This is a torpedo shaped cigar 6 1/2 by 54. The cigar is a tribute to AVO Uvezian on his 86th birthday. As with all AVO Limited Editions, the cigar is very complex, subtly spicy, with a medium to full body. The cigar incorporates Peruvian tobaccos which is a trademark ingredient in AVO cigars. Very enjoyable and relaxing. Packaged in boxes of 10. As with all Limited Editions….they are here one day and gone all too soon!

Grand Opening Celebration

My thanks to Steve Dickenson and the folks at Davidoff for helping us make sure that the Grand Opening Celebration on the 19th was a great success! Also my thanks to Flora’s Italian Cafe’, Hugos and Island Bagel Co. for the wonderful food they all provided! How fortunate to be in a retail center with such outstanding eateries. Last but not least, thanks to all the customers who came by and took advantage of the discounts; received additional spiffs; and those who won prizes in our raffle.

Big day tomorrow….Grand Opening Celebration at our new South Island Square location. Storewide discounts ALL DAY LONG and a special Davidoff event from 6 pm to 9 pm. NO INVITATION NECESSARY….but if it were, consider this your invitation. We will have bagels (from Island Bagel Co.) during the day and hot snacks from (Hugo’s and Flora’s Italian Cafe) in the evening. Raffles, giveaways, WE WILL HAVE FUN!

Got in the Camacho Corojo and Camacho Connecticut last week. Connecticut? From Camacho? I know, I resisted this cigar for a long time because you normally do not think of Camacho when you think of Connecticut shade wrapper cigars. (I fact, I rarely think of connecticut shade wrapper cigars….generally not one of my favorite types of cigars.) THIS CIGAR IS DIFFERENT. I would like to explain it to you, I should be able to, but I can’t other than to tell you that it is a “meaty” Connecticut. Like the difference between Veal and Chicken. Both have a mild flavor, but the veal has more body and that is this cigar. I have taken to this cigar and have enjoyed one daily! You have got to try one!

Grand Opening Celebration only 2 days away!

New product has started coming in. If you enjoy a smooth cigar with rich flavor, the VegaFina Sumum is an absolute must try. The problem is keeping the cigar in stock! This is a limited edition cigar and it is a cigar that I try to keep in my own humidor at all times! Got three boxes in last week, all full boxes are gone. I have five cigars in the store humidor. This is a home run cigar!!

Wow, what a GREAT Heritage tournament! Weather was almost perfect, golf course played tough and we have another new Heritage champ!

This is a big week for us. The grand opening celebration for our new store location is Thursday, April 19th. From 10 am to 6 pm, we will have specials throughout the store; there will be munchies and refreshments; you can enter our raffle to win great prizes like a box of Vega Fina Robusto’s! From 6 pm to 9 pm we will have a special Davidoff event. Great deals on all Davidoff brands: AVO, Zino, Winston Churchill, Griffins, Camacho, Cusano, and Heavenly Flavored Cigars. Friday, I received a box of Davidoff goodies that we will give out to lucky customers. There will be MORE food and an open bar.
